The presentation of Mr. Philip Simmons' portrait celebrates his extraordinary legacy as a master blacksmith and ironworker. His creations are showcased in prestigious locations worldwide, reflecting his artistic talent and craftsmanship. Dr. Janie D. Wilson, President and COO of Peninsula Biblical Counseling Ministries (PBCM), has a deeply personal motivation for wanting PBCM involved in this project. She recognizes the importance of honoring individuals like Simmons, whose work has profoundly impacted communities. By selecting Philip Simmons Elementary School as the recipient of the portrait, she aims to inspire students and educate them about his contributions. This portrait not only commemorates Simmons’ achievements but also serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of hard work, creativity, and commitment to one’s craft in shaping a vibrant community and enriching future generations.
